Wonderful hotel at the great location

Great hotel: wonderful location, beautiful beach, food was amazing, staff very friendly, especially the restaurant manager who was helping us in the cooking class. Room was very big and lovely, the private swimming pool amazing, the large bathroom was huge and beautiful. We loved the location: cozy and quiet, a bit away of the busy places that you can easily reach by taxi if you miss the crowd or nightlife.

The area of the hotel was clean, but the cleaning standards of the room could have been better. That we had to leave:)

It is our 5th time at Muang Samui. We consider as the best resorts we have ever been to in Thailand!

Great location on beautiful and peaceful Cheongmon beach. Beautiful resort with world class amenities. Rooms are magic, particularly with private pool. The hotel pool is great. Breakfast is delicious with plenty of options. The bar is located on the beach and maki g wonderful pina coladas!

What was the highlight of Royal Muang Samui Villas

Perfect family holiday in a great hotel on a stunning beach.

The staff and facilities were excellent. The staff are so attentive and will happily go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The pool area is stunning and very clean. The beach is very close to the hotel and has a very good choice of bars and restaurants. There is also a good choice of places to eat and drink on the road outside the hotel. Breakfast comes with a great view and plenty of choice for both western and eastern diets. As some others have commented, there are a couple of things around the hotel which are starting to look tired but when you factor in how much this area was affected by Covid, i think its to be expected. During our stay, it was very apparent that ongoing repairs and updates are being carried out. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back to this hotel.

Huge rooms, friendly staff and all the extras in a fair price. Very nice swimming poil

Rooms very old and need update. Very poor lighting and not enough electric plugs. Only one dining option at the hotel. Rooms were not so clean

A lovely location for a relaxing beach stay

Great location on a quieter beach that's away from the madness of the more intensely developed areas of Koh Samui. The resort itself is not too big. Beach front with reserved loungers and a good pool. Breakfasts are really good, and the BBQ on the beach every Wednesday is worth doing! The beach itself was lovely and safe in the water - a large area of shallow water, no surf or rips. So safe for smaller kids to play on. Quite a few beachfront massage businesses and restaurants.

The fitness centre could do with a refresh. Some of the equipment was a little 'tired'

Perfect family getaway at a perfect resort that offers a truely warm Thai hospitakity .

Nice , big rooms in traditional Thai design , with a lovely attached pool and nice big Sala. Lovely beach and a lot of activities for all age groups. Very good food options , including very efficient room service, Away from the noise and the sleazy night life , a perfect resort for a family vacation . And the staff really take care of you with their warm Thai hospitality and willingness to make your stay as comfortable as they can.

Staff was very nice!

Staff was very nice! All of them! the view to the Beach is amazing

There are running the whole day 3 to 4 Street dogs in the whole area, they look not healty and in the night is It not really comortable, also there are constructions next to the Hotel and It is very loud during the day.

Nice and quiet but eat out!

The hotel was clean with large rooms and an onsen jacuzzi bath and it was quiet which is what we were after.

The food was not great! Breakfast, lunch, dinner all tried and just average at best.

Food was great (especially the breakfast).

Food was great (especially the breakfast). Staff was amazing and so friendly. This place is in a peaceful area, but close enough to take a nice scooter ride or taxi to where all the night life is. Beach is really nice. Everything was very relaxing and enjoyable.

Mosquitos haha... but that isn't anyone's fault. If that was the worst part, then obviously everything was great.

Stay away!! Waste of money . There are so many options.

I really hated this place. We stayed in the pool villa which was a waste of money . The food was tasteless. The pool was super cold . There is no pravicy. People can see into the room from every direction. The the staff are unhelpful and room service is closed by 10:00pm.I would not recommended staying here . We stayed at the SALA resort in the beginning of our trip and we were went to another island for two days and when we came back to koh samui SALA was all booked so we stay at this horrible place.

Great place in quiet part of Koh Samui, but with good...

Great place in quiet part of Koh Samui, but with good accessibility to Chaweng or Bophut (either by provided shuttles, taxi or in our case most preferably by songthaews) and enough services in surroundings. Well rounded, rich and variable breakfasts. Really big rooms in wonderful tropical garden full of birds, butterflies (and tons of mosquitos as well :-) ). Nice beach, but water is quite shallow. Really nice, helpful and friendly staff. Remember - Thailand is really land of smiles.

Pleasant but not perfect

Very large traditional Thai style room and bathroom. Whimsical touches like the gold gecko stencils on the ceiling. Helpful in allowing a one hour later checkout when our plane was delayed by three hours. Beach was uncrowded, clean and safe.

No pool ladder on our garden view pool suite. Made it almost impossible for a short (but quite fit and flexible) person to get out so didn’t get the use of the pool we would have liked. Think it actually represents quite a danger, especially for children. Very little in-room information. Instead there are supposed to be Guest Relation Officers but since an email on arrival went unanswered for more than 2 days and we didn’t see a GRO til the night before we left when we went to the lobby to confirm our return airport transfer, we would have been far better served by good in-room information.

The Hotel location is perfect for relaxing.

The Hotel location is perfect for relaxing. The beach was metres away from the hotel and it was perfect for both adults and children. Breakfast was good and the staff at the hotel were the best I have ever met. The front desk staff were very helpful and made recommendations for places to eat. We used the hotel luxury vehicle to take us into chaweng and also to the airport and the prices were the same as a local taxi.

Paradise

Hotel is in a prime spot on the beautiful Choengmon Beach. Fantastic swimming pool, beachfront with ample sunbeds. Rooms are extremely spacious, comfortable with nice outside balcony area. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Whilst this is a quieter resort, there are ample great value local restauarants & bars, would recommend Cocktail King, Grandmom and the Orchid restaurant.

A very relaxing stay we had no need to leave the resort.

The reception manager was outstanding with her service, surprising us with an upgrade and giving us her personal mobile number for the day she had a rostered day off in case we required anything. Amazing villas and perfect for our family holiday. We would love to visit again next year.
